Annual New Years Eve Party - Saturday, December 31st
Plan on celebrating the New Year with us here at Post 129 we always have a great time and always have a few surprises in store for the evening. The Maybees will be here to entertain us from 8 pm to 12 pm. There will NOT be a cover charge this year. It is a no fuss party.
There will be party favors and a champagne toast at midnight but other than that it is just come, party, drink, and dance! No dinner will be available that evening. We are requesting that if possible everyone brings in some snacks to share.

Not only will Post 129 be open all day on Christmas day we will be having Pass the Trash starting at 5 pm. So plan on coming down and celebrating the holiday with your Post family.

Join us on Thursday, November 24th for Thanksgiving Dinner. Terry will be hard at work in our kitchen so that you don't have to! No Cooking, No Cleaning, No Covered Dishes! Blood Drive - Friday, November 11th
The Blood Alliance Bloodmobile will be onsite here at The American Legion Post 129 starting at noon.

Veteran's Day - November 11th
This Friday is Veteran's Day and there is no lack of activities at the Post. Starting the day at 11 am we have a Blood Drive.
Then free lunch for all Veterans and all donors who donate blood. The normal Auxiliary bingo is scheduled for 2 pm.
The ALR is cooking up a awesome meal of brisket for dinner that evening and have scheduled an extra raffle event for even more fun!
Steak bingo of course will be held at 630 pm and Mid Life Crisis will be here to keep you dancing all night long! Hope to see you all at the Post!

Benefit for Kelly Rice - Saturday, October 22nd
We are holding a benefit for our bartender Kelly Rice on Saturday, October 22nd. Kelly has recently been diagnosed with Breast cancer. Due to this she will have to take a few months off of work for treatment and recovery. All proceeds from the event will be used to cover her expenses during this time.

Fourth of July Celebration - Monday, July 4th
Join us Monday, July 4th for our holiday celebration. The Legion will be providing pulled pork and is requesting that members bring a covered dished to share. The Blood Mobile will also be on site from noon to 4 pm. Due to the holiday Trivia has been canceled.

In June we will be heading out to a Suns game on Sunday, June 19th. We will all meet here at Post 129 and take a bus downtown for the 3 pm game. The cost for this event is only $20 and includes your transportation to and from the game as well as your ticket for the game.

Mark your calendars for Memorial Day weekend. We will be holding our annual pub crawl with a slight twist. This year our first stop will be Post 233 in Palm Valley. From there we will head over to the beach bars. These crawls are always fun. Be sure to sign up in the canteen if you are interested. Cost is $20 per person and includes t shirt.
Fish Club - Saturday, May 14th
The Post is starting a Saturday morning fish club. Starting on the second Saturday of the month we will have volunteers at the pier in Jacksonville Beach pier to met you. So come on out and enjoy the fun. The current plan is to fish from 7 am to 9 am. Please see Jerry Brandt with any questions.

Walk for veterans - Sunday, April 24th
The American Legion Post 129 is holding a Walk for Veterans during the Opening of the Beaches Parade on April 24th, 2016. The purpose of this walk is to raise public awareness about the crucial issues facing America’s veterans and their families.
We owe it to those who served our country to never forget their sacrifice and devotion. In war or peace, America’s veterans have repeatedly sacrificed for our freedom. This awareness walk is the least that we can do for them.
The registration fee for the walk is $10.00 and will include a t-shirt. There is no charge to attend the Opening of the Beaches Parade.

We start out at 1 pm with a pool tournament. Kitchen opens at 2 pm. They will be cocking up smoked pork and brisket served with coleslaw and baked beans. At 3 pm the shuffleboard tournament begins.
We will also be having a no run poker run starting at 3 pm. What is a no run poker run? Well exactly what it sounds like. A poker run with out the run! All cards will be pulled at Post 129. Only $20 to enter. All cards must be pulled by 5 pm.
At 5 pm we will begin our Chinese auction this is always a good time so be sure to stick around for this. We will also be holding a 50/50 raffle that day.

French Toast Breakfast - Saturday, January 9th
You’re invited to our open house pancake breakfast this Saturday morning starting at 10 am. This is a good opportunity to bring new members or potential members to the Post so they can see what we are all about.
