ALR Chili Cook- Off - Sunday, OCtober 13th
🌶️ Get Ready for the ALR Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️
Join us for a spicy and exciting Chili Cook-Off at Liberty Hall on Sunday, October 13th! Whether you're a chili chef or a fan of great food, this event is perfect for you.
For our Chili chefs cost is only $15 to enter your famous chili. To join in the cook off you must bring in a full pot of chili to the Post by 130 pm.
For our chili lovers bring your appetite and only $10 to taste all of these wonderful chili and vote for your favorite.

Suicide Prevention Workshop - Saturday, October 12th
The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 129, will be hosting a Suicide Prevention Workshop presented by Howard Carter, the Chaplains Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO) Representative from Naval Station Mayport.

Sterling memorial Golf Classic - Saturday, October 5th
The day for our annual golf tournament has been set and it will be here before you know it. So be sure to sign up soon if you plan on playing, this tournament fills up fast!

Join us in honoring our veterans by volunteering on Saturday, May 25th, at 8 am to place flags at Warren Smith Cemetery. Help us pay tribute to those who have served our country by participating in this meaningful gesture of remembrance.
Additionally, we need volunteers on Tuesday, May 28th, at 8 am to assist in picking up the flags. Your contribution will ensure that these symbols of honor are respectfully cared for and stored until next year's memorial.
As part of our commitment to honoring veterans, we will also be participating in a service at Beaches Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, May 27th, at 9 am. All members are encouraged to attend this solemn ceremony as we come together to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave service members.

We are incredibly excited for the return of the Jacksonville Beach Opening of the Beaches Parade! Please join us on April 28th at 130 pm to walk in the parade and represent this wonderful Post.

WAA Mobile Exhibit - Tuesday, April 2nd
The Wreathes Across America Mobile Educational Exhibit will be here at Post 129 from 10 am to 4 pm. All members and the community are invited to visit, take a tour, and speak with a WAA representative.
Challenge 22 Walk - Saturday, March 23rd
Come out to Jacksonville Beach join Ocean Beaches American Legion Post 129, 5th District Riders and our community for a walk, party and a day of camaraderie to help End Veteran Suicides at our Challenge 22 Walk set for March 23, 2024 at the Jacksonville Beach Pavilion, 75 First Street North.
New Event Starting in Liberty Hall - Wednesday, March 6th
Music Bingo is Coming to Liberty Hall on Wednesday nights starting on March 6th. This is a fabulous game that is a ton of fun to play and free. So come on up and give it a try. You will be happy you did.
lINE dANCING cLASS IS bACK- sTARTING mONDAY, fEBRUARY 26TH
Line Dancing class is coming back! Sue will be teaching you wonderful line dances every week so be sure to come check it out. Classes will run from February 26th to April 15th in the Liberty Hall at 7 pm.
ALR Casino Night - Saturday, February 24th
Join us for the 7th Annual ALR Casino Night on Saturday, February 24th. Tickets cost only $40 per person and include dinner, $300 in Play Money, and a Door Prize Ticket. Doors open at 530 pm, Gaming begins at 630 pm. All proceeds to benefit Project Vet Relief.

Mark your calendars the date has been set for this year's Shut up and Drink Tour. We will be visiting three other area posts and just having a fantastic time. Signup sheet is available in the Freedom Hall. No shirts this year so cost is only $15.

Join us for our annual Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11th. We will be providing hot dogs, chili and chips. No charge for the event - we just ask that everyone brings their favorite tailgate snack to share.
