"Good Evening, sitting here thinking of you wonderful people out there in Florida. You all are Angels I pray to God watch and protect you all. It’s raining out here, something we don’t need but a cold front is moving in. How is the whether out there? Once again Thank you from my heart and Soul for your kindness and caring for us , while we pick up the pieces of our devastation and move on. I tell the Ladies and the Legionaries we are not alone. I Love you all, stay safe and be Bless".

MILITARY Child Table CEREMONY - November 7th
Post 129 is proud to be hosting the 5th District Auxiliary Juniors and Junior SAL Military Child's Table Setting Ceremony on Saturday, November 7th at 11 am. The entire Legion Family is cordially invited to come out and share this event to support our junior members.
The Military Child’s Table Setting Ceremony is a unique program to involve Auxiliary Junior members and younger Sons of The American Legion to honor the sacrifices of their military child friends and classmates.
The ceremony is inspired by the POW/MIA remembrance table ceremony. Our military answer the call to service every day as they defend freedom around the world. That service often comes at a great personal sacrifice, not only for the service member, but also for their children.
The American Legion emphasizes protecting, caring for, and supporting children and youth, particularly those of veterans and military families.

Kevlar for K9's - Event has been postponed
Update: This event has been postponed due to COVID-19 crisis. As soon as we are able to reschedule we will. We still believe in this cause and are looking forward to hosting this event.
Come join American Legion Post 129 Saturday, April 11th for a “A Nite at the Races”. It will be a FUN filled night of raising FUNDS for a fabulous cause. Professionally called recorded horse races with programs, betting windows, raffles, food, friends, and family will all be here… so don’t miss this event.
Safety and security for our first responders is a paramount priority. This provision, we feel, should be afforded to our four legged canine counterparts too! Once again we are blessed with the opportunity to be a blessing to our very own Jacksonville Beach Police by sponsoring its newest K9 addition with its own custom Kevlar Jacket.
In addition to your attendance and participation there are several pre-race day opportunities to help make this event the success we all want it to be.
First you can sponsor a horse for the upcoming races. The cost to sponsor is only $10 donation per horse. Ownership includes naming the horse for the event programs as well as $20 in canteen cash if your horse wins the race. See bartender to sign up. Limited spaces available.
Second you can sponsor one of the races. The cost to sponsor a race is a $200 donation. With race sponsorship we will announce your business information before your race, print an advertisement in the events programs, as well as in our weekly email and on our website.
You can make your donations in person at the Post or by visiting the event page by clicking below.
100% of all donations will go directly towards the purchase of the much needed Kevlar Vest. American Legion Post 129 is also a Non- Profit 501 © and all donations are tax deductible.

The American Legion emphasizes protecting, caring for, and supporting children and youth, particularly those of veterans and military families. Show your support for military children during April – Month of the Military Child and come out and support this unique event.
